We were taking a break in between appointments and decided to take a quick look around Novena square and Square 2.
At Square 2, we chance upon Tunglok Teahouse which looked pretty interesting – a casual chinese restaurant that serves food via a conveyor tray delivery system. We ordered our food through an iPad and waited for our food to be served automatically in a tray. Once food is off-loaded, the empty tray will then be sent back via a red button.
We ordered,
- Steamed Juicy Meat Buns Xiao Long Bao
- Steamed Pork Dumplings
- Teahouse Signature Rice Rolls
I have to admit that I am still a DTF xiao long bao supporter. LOL! but I will definitely be coming back for their Teahouse Signature Rice Rolls – its silky skin stuffed with prawns, scallop, vegetables and a crispy netted rice paper is absolutely delightful.
Overall they serve an exquisite range of teochew dishes and dim sum. One of the dish that caught my eye, in the menu, is the Stir-fried Egg White Omelette with Crab Meat and Seafood. We will come back to try out more dishes in the near future.
